Stormwater Drains Telarah
Stormwater drains in Telarah move roof and yard water off your block, and when one blocks on flat ground, the water stays put. As your plumber in Telarah, we jet silted lines, film the pipe and give you a fixed figure before starting. Call (02) 4915 2998 or use the form.

Where the Rain Is Supposed to Go
A stormwater line takes water from your downpipes, yard grates and paved areas away to the street system. It is a separate pipe from the sewer, with its own faults and its own clears.
When it fails on flat ground, you notice fast:
- Water pooling around grates, the slab edge or low spots in the yard
- Downpipes overflowing at the gutters during a decent fall
- A grate gone quiet, with water sitting in it days after the rain stopped
How Do You Spot Line Trouble?
The pattern tells the story. If water only pools while it rains and drains away soon after, the line is working but working hard. If it sits for days, the line is partly blocked with silt, sand or roots, and every following storm adds to what is trapped.
A single quiet grate points to a block close by. Several grates holding water at once points to trouble further down the run, and that is when a camera earns its place. We feed the CCTV drain camera down the line to see whether you are dealing with silt, a root intrusion or a pipe that has shifted out of line, because each takes a different fix.
How the Clear Runs

A fixed price first
A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead. 3. The line gets jetted from the nearest access point, flushing silt and debris out to the kerb while the camera watches the pipe walls.

Covered for a year
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.
Where the footage shows roots rather than silt, the job shifts to a tree root removal clear. Where the pipe itself has cracked or dropped, we talk repairs or pipe relining with the footage in front of you first.
What Decides the Cost of a Stormwater Clear?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
Three things shape the figure on this work:
- The material inside: loose leaves and silt wash out quicker than packed sand or a root tangle
- How far down the run the trouble sits, since deep access points take longer to reach than a boundary grate
- The pipe's age and material, because a century-old clay run gets handled differently to modern PVC
The number you agree to is the number on the invoice.

What Customers Say
[The team] have done an outstanding job at my mother's rental property. The area they worked on was particularly challenging, as it retained water and had become extremely muddy and boggy… The transformation has been remarkable.
When We're Not the Right Call
Water running down the roadway or pooling over the footpath points to street-side drainage, and that belongs to the council rather than to your property. If the fault sits on their side of the boundary, we hand you the council's contact details so the next move is a phone call to the right people.
Questions Before the Stormwater Job
Why does my Telarah yard flood in heavy rain?
Telarah is low floodplain ground, and the older stormwater pipes here were not built for the volume a heavy Hunter storm drops. Add silt in the line or leaves on a grate and the water backs up instead of leaving. A clear line gives it an exit.
What is the difference between a stormwater block and a sewer block?
A sewer block backs up inside the house: the toilet gurgles, the shower waste rises, and smells come with it. A stormwater block shows up outside, with water pooling at grates, around the slab or across the yard, straight after rain. The two run on different pipes and take different clears.
Is jetting safe for old clay stormwater lines?
Yes, when the pressure is set for the pipe. The jetter cleans with plain water, and we dial the pressure down for older clay and earthenware runs so the walls get washed rather than stressed. A camera check first tells us what the line can take.
Is a stormwater clear covered by a warranty?
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did is not right inside that year, ring the same number and it gets sorted. Keep the invoice, because it is your record of what was cleared and when.
Sewer blockages and the other drain jobs are grouped on the blocked drains page, while gutter guards stop leaves at the roof before they reach this pipe.
