Tree Root Removal Telarah
Tree root removal in Telarah means cutting the root mass out of a sewer or stormwater pipe and jetting the pieces away, all through the openings already there. The price is fixed before we start, and the camera goes back in at the end so you see a clear line.
Other drain work. Sewer clears, jetting and the rest are on the blocked drains hub, and any other job for your plumber in Telarah goes through the same number.

How Do Roots Get Inside a Sealed Pipe?
They are not breaking in. They are being invited. A clay or earthenware joint that has shifted even a few millimetres leaks a trace of moisture outward, and a root can sense that damp from metres away.
Once a fine thread finds the gap, it thickens inside the line:
- A fibrous mat grows across the pipe wall, catching solids and paper on every pass
- The opening widens as the root thickens, letting more roots follow the first one in
- Flow drops, the toilet gurgles, and waste starts rising through the lowest fixture
The pipe's age decides the risk. The earliest drainage under this suburb was laid when it was still called Homeville, and a century underground leaves those joints rough, shifted and open for business.
What Does the Root Clear Involve?
The camera goes down first. Guessing at a blockage with a cutting head is how old pipes get wrecked, so the footage sets the method before anything touches the line.
From there the job runs in a set order:
- 01
Ring or send the form
Call (02) 4915 2998 or use the form to explain the fault. We ask enough to bring the right equipment the first time.
- 02
A fixed price first
A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead.
- 03
Camera, cut, flush, camera again
Filming finds the mass and its entry joint, a cutting head chews through it, the jet rinses the debris out, and a last camera run shows the result.
- 04
Covered for a year
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.
If the footage turns up a cracked or collapsed section rather than a root mat alone, that gets quoted as its own repair, and pipe relining can settle it without a shovel touching the garden.
How Is a Root Clear Priced?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
The root clear is priced on:
- How far down the run the mat sits, since a root ball at the boundary trap is quicker work than one under the middle of the house
- What the line is built from, since brittle earthenware needs a gentler, slower clear than a modern PVC run
- Whether the roots come out clean or the footage shows repair work waiting behind them
The camera run sets the price, so you get it once the line has been seen.

When We're Not the Right Call
Roots in the main past your front boundary are in Hunter Water's pipe, not yours, so if the camera places them there, you get their number from us to report it.
What Customers Say
Woke up Friday to find my two kitchen sinks backed up. … Possibly tree roots from backyard neighbours.
Root Removal Questions, Answered
Does root removal damage an old clay sewer in Telarah?
No. Brittle clay and earthenware get a lighter cutter and lower pressure than PVC, chosen from the first camera run. After the roots are gone, the line is filmed again and you see it before any further work is raised.
Will my yard be dug up for root removal?
Not for the clear. The cutting head is fed from a yard opening or the boundary trap. A spade only comes out if the camera finds a fallen section, and that repair is priced on its own after you have seen the footage.
Why do roots target the oldest Telarah houses?
The first cottages here went in with clay and earthenware drains, and after a century of ground movement the joints have gaps that leak a little water. Roots grow toward that damp. PVC with glued joints leaves far fewer gaps.
Is the root clear covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something in our work is not right inside that year, call and we return to it.
